Personal Development

Who defines the limits of our dreams and ambitions?

What is the meaning we have given to our lives? Have we forgotten what we really want out of life?

Eudaimonia - Aristotle, the fourth century BC Greek philosopher, defined eudaimonia as a state of well-being and happiness. Plato and Socrates - Aristotle's mentors - also believed that the ultimate goal a person can have is to reach the state of eudaimonia.

What meaning have we given to life?

Personal development involves setting goals that are in harmony with our true values and ambitions. Personally, I consider spirituality and contributing to society to be my two top values. It is what brings me joy every day and reminds me that no matter what my routine or the challenges I face, I ought to find time to add meaning to my life. Therefore personal development is a lifelong process and inner growth never stops, as does learning and acquiring new skills.

What we all seek in life is a purpose. And it is this desire and drive that determines the amount of achievement and the steps required. The first step is to understand what we want. Here, self-awareness and clarity are the fundamental elements to recognise where we deserve to be.

Balance is of utmost importance in order to achieve our goals without disturbing what we have already achieved. Mistakes are part of the process! What will define us in the end will be our resilience to keep learning as we grow and as we transform. Trusting ourselves is everything.

Personal experience

Like many others, at the age of 18 I had to choose what I would do for the rest of my life. My father told me categorically that it was time to take life into my own hands and choose my path. Great! I had no idea what that meant. It took me many years, countless mistakes and obstacles just to figure out what I want in this life. Every few years I thought I wanted something different. But when I got close to it I realized that it was definitely not what I was looking for. The real reason for this was that I was comparing myself to everyone else around me and to what I was seeing on TV. So, I decided to explore myself. To look inside myself and not outside. When do I really feel complete? What am I good at? What are my skills that make me unique? When do I feel excited? What would make me happy? How do I define myself in the world? Is this the best I can be? This has been and continues to be the most revealing process for me. Every day I learn something new about myself. We are evolving and we have to learn to speak to our inner selves, to adapt and be flexible. To keep an open mind, to pursue, to dream.

Together

Journeys of self-realization require us to explore our inner skills and test ourselves. Some skills are related to our network of friends while others are more financial in nature, but all require patience and determination in order to emerge. However, deep in the unconscious are suppressed fears that damage self-esteem and sap our strength.

That is why this journey is not easy. Our spiritual, emotional and physical condition will be tested. Our social life, relationships, our professional life will all come under the spotlight. The key is strategy. Together, we will create a plan. Let me take you to your limits. Let me remind you why you are making this journey. As a fellow traveller, I will share with you my personal experiences, my lessons learned, so that you can avoid the pitfalls. Let me help you do what you were always meant to do.

To discover and unleash your hidden potential.
